I dont understand how a basic rebuild from Shepard racing for $895 plus the welded center differential can hold enough power to run say 10 sec 1/4 mile runs time after time. So according to this a new factory transmission can hold the power of a 10 sec. car. So why is a rebuild necessary? What is done differently and how does it help it hold all that power?
Please help me im getting a new car which will be running low 11's and first gear is needing a new synchro so I need to know what else is necessary for the tranny to hold that much more power with out falling apart?
Thanks
