Please help tranny/engine issue

Ok guys, 1g Fwd Auto trans with maf t installed 16g turbo fmic the works.

Fresh rebuild,timing is correct everything is hooked up and all but the issue is that the car starts and runs idles fine in park but it wont go above 1500 rpm when you push the gas pedal so I put it in drive and the car wants to die???? What could this be? Again the car has 0 miles on the fresh rebuild.

Also I have checked pretty much everything from timing,boost leak the works just havnt done a compression check what is the right compression on a fresh rebuilt stock rebuild.

Sounds like the tcu doesn't know its in drive. That or the Tps . Check connections on the trans. Is the cel on?

Maf issue maybe? Mine did the same thing all because the MAF was in but didn't click in right had to zip tie it.. for proper connection.

Sounds like a maf issue mine did the same thing ,later found out coupler was loose

found out that i was running on 2 cylinders coil to 1 and 4 was bad dont know if its gonna fix it but heres hoping and yes there is a check engine light on. one that says power and the check engine itself

Replace the coil and clear the codes then see what it does.
