I just replaced the sensors on my car (the 2 against the firewall by the intake manifold) and put my exhaust on i had to splice the o2 sensor after the cat back on because i didnt know how to unhook it.... now ill go to drive it and ill press the gas and it wont go anywhere then i hit the brake and the car almost stalls out... if any one can help i would appreciate it very much thanks.....Also how do i hook up a boost gauge stupid question i know. thanks in advance

ok let me understand you cut the wire for the o2 sensor, if thats the case I would get a new wire. The voltage running thru an o2 sensor wire is such a small amount, a splice in the wire can change what the reading is when sent to the ECU. Also check for boost leaks by doing a leak down test, click here for instructions.

And to hook up a boost guage you tap into a vaccum source, for instance take a 3 way vaccum line splitter and run it off of a vaccum line from the intake manifold and run the plastic tubing (that comes with the guage) to the gauge and thats all for it to work. To get it to light up you have to wire the ground to the chasis somewhere, and the positive to the dimming/interior light switch (so it lights up when you turn on your lights) or just hook it up to an ignition source, but then it would turn on any time the cars on.

Did you by any chance at all hit the throttle cable while changing those sensors? It would have been on the back of the Throttle body on the swivel.

Also, what sensors did you change? That might help us point you in the right direction.

the sensors are above the intake manifold and the vacuum lines come off the throttle body they lettered like rbg something like that i deffinetly have to buy a new rear o2 sensor

Do you not know what sensors you changed? I don't want to sound rude by any means, but the location doesn't mean a thing to me. Now if you tell me you changed the MAP sensor for example, then I can provide more help but simply stating that "I changed the sensors that are on top of the intake manifold" doesn't help me in pointing you in the right direction.

So, the questions remain:

1- What sensors did you change?
2- Why did you change them?
3- If they were bad, what caused them to be bad? (What happened the last time they were "working")
4- After changing them, did you plug them back in and secure them with the clips? (They may be loose)
5- You talked of vaccuum lines on the TB, did you plug them back in?

Answer those questions and hopefully I can provide more insight on your problem.

Thanks!

P.S.: Please note that I'm not trying to be rude or a smartass in any way shape or form but meerly trying to help you give us the proper information so we can help you fix your issue and be on your way!

all thoes sensors go to your egr valve and air canister Make sure you have them hooked back up correctly there should be a diagram on the underside of your hood easy to follow...

Just for the future reference to unhook that back o2 sensor its undernieth your drivers seat.

it depends on exactly what you did... it seems what you have is a big vacuum leak...did you take off the intercooler piping at all? unhooked your maf sensor?

thats where the sensors are:dsm:

When i bought the car they wernt there so i had to buy new ones soo far it seems like the previous owners butchered the vacuum system :(

Oh, he probably didn't butcher the vaccuum system...I can't find the post on here where it shows how to cut down on the vaccuum lines to clean up the engine bay.

If that's what he did, then everything was fine. I'll see if I can find it and post it.
