Winnipeg,
So here I go:

This may seem trivial to you- but it took me 2 weeks of diagnosis to find my vacuum leak!

I recentley installed a homemade intake manifold- built to as close as I could copy the magnus, and then the problems started. First off, huge flow difference. When I installed it it ran great....but it idled at 2000 rpm and hunted up and down. So first I checked my base timing. It was good. Then I checked my ISC motor, it was good. Then I checked my TPS, it was good. Then, I noticed I could hear vacuum leaks all over the place, but thought it COULD be the air rushing thru the manifol(being a thinner metal). So thru all this I found 3 of the throttle body bolts go straight thru the flange into the intake....suffice to say a gasket replacement and some thread sealant on the bolts alleviated that problem. It idles perfect at 1100 RPM, but the BISS screw is all the way in! Has anyone run into anything like this? I searched for topics but only found the proper way to set things, so I did that, but can I get it to idle any lower somehow? PS I have no more vacuum leaks...

What is your TPS reading at while idling? If it is out of wack the car will idle high/low depending on reading.
You still have vacuum leaks somewhere, likely the injectors or the intake to head gasket area.

1. What is your vacuum reading?

2. What methods did you use to find vacuum leaks? How are you so sure there are no more leaks?

If memory serves, you should be at .90.

What is it thats supposed to be set at 32? I thought (in dsmlink) that the rawtps value had to be 32-35 and the tps % had to be 1% at idle and the idlesw has to read 1. and idle air flow per rev had to be like .28g/rev.

Just trying to throw some info out there.

The value I gave you is the adjustment when you're setting the TPS, it says to set it between .48 and .52 V. (so I set it at .5) Can you fill me in on the other numbers you gave me? (kinda lost me)

I feel a little silly- my temp sending unit (justy bought a new one) was hooked up backwards. The wiring connector was toast (dried up and such) so it just had some female spade connectors on it. It really helped the idle to set the TPS to .9 though, no more surge. Thankyou for your help! :)
