Please Help! Fluid in spark plug holes.

This is a 420a engine.
I had my head gasket and valve cover gasket replaced recently, but have not got around to cleaning all the oil leaks from before off the engine. I finally did today. Trying to clean the valve cover I let degreaser sit oni it for a bit and rinsed off with water. Since my hands were too big to get in there to clean out the grease I pulled the spark plug wires. When I did this I relized there is a bunch of fluid in the bottom of the holles in top of the valve cover. This does not strike me as ok.

What can I do? Im about to stick a rag down there to try to soak it up.

When removing the wires from the ignition coil, One of the connections was green. It was cylinder #2. All I did for that one was take a scrub pad to it and a bit of fine grit sanding til it was bare metal. then clenaed well. I suppose inside the wire would be green too so I will be cleaning that out for cylineder #2.

One more thing - I bought seafoam to try to get this engine running in its best shape possible. I dont know where to even put the stuff.. I've heard of so many ways of doing it but what would be the best method for this car?
 
Use a shop vac or try compressed n shoot it into holes. Cover top wit a rag or itll go everywhere. This is what I did when I got water down in plug holes. Good luck.
Also the seafoam, read directions carefully. Find a vacume line on IM and stick in bottle. You need some with foot on gas keeping rpms around 3500.

Compressed air or a rag are the best ways. Just take your time with a rag and don't force it. If you break that plug off you will definitely regret it LOL.

I've never tried using a shop vac but that might do it ok.
 
just remember liquids dont compress and there is a chance of hydro locking your motor even though my friend took a hose and put it in his intake of his ranger and it still didn't lock up for a while.

I put mine in the vac line off the brake booster and put the rest in my gas. But mine didn't even smoke at all intill a couple days later.

thanks for the support guys, I did the following without even getting these responses, but it sounds like I did the right things. Took paper towel, wrapped it around a phillips screwdriver and stuck it into the holes tried to get around the spark plugs but it was pretty tight. I just did it til I was satisfied enough for now since it works anyway.

As for the seafoam, did what the bottle said. 1/3 gas 1/3 crank 1/3 vacuum slowly so car did not die. Was very nervous and cautious doing this. Smoked right away, got a lot of weird looks from neighbors.
