Car: 92 tsi awd

Situation: Car starts fine, but as soon as it hits higher revs, comes down, stutters to a stall. used my datalogging to see that the 02 sensor was dead and i replaced it. Same thing happened. Got new plugs/wires (ngk/ngk). STILL DOES IT. Sounds like some kind of arcing or electrical ticking is coming from the injectors, could those be shot and cause this. the compression is still fine and tbelt is fine as well. It runs fine then starts missing really bad up top, then comes down and stalls basically. ANy help greatly appeciated.

edit: Ill start it, rev it a lil, then it stutters and stalls. if i try to restart it right awya, it does same thing, if i wait a minute or two itll start like new, but then do the stutter/stall if i rev it.

This problem doesnt seem to discriminate between 1g or 2g. I am wondering why everyone is having such a hard time trying to isolate the problem. Personally I need more hardware to monitor whats going on, but let me know what is next on your agenda after the new coil pack as I am experiencing the same problems on my 2g tsi

Once those new plugs are in, it will be a different story, cause then ill have further isolated the problem and hopefully resolved it, i hate electrical, i think mechincal is usally easier and more definitive to locate.

Please tell us exactly what it is doing after you get the plugs in. Are you saying it dies when you hit boost???

Are you recircing your BOV? what is your AFR? fuel pump? FPR hooked up and working? do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

I have no fuel mods whatsoever, the pump must be working cause i can drive out of boost fine. The AFR ill have to plug my logger back in to see. It doesnt die when i hit boost, ill hit boost, and after the revs fall it will stutter and if i try to rev it up it needs alot of gas to hestitantly get back up there. Hopefully new plugs will help. Mike

plugs can't hurt thats for sure. Additionally have you set your timing, cam timing, and base idle in a while?

It is possible that you are retarded (your spark :D) or you may have jumpped a tooth but i doubt this. Also your ISC could be bad or maxing out because of too low of an adjustment on the biss. You can try opening the biss up a bit and see if it helps and doesn't increase your stopped idle.

Good news guys! It ended up being a boost leak. Thought i'd post this just in case somebody else is having the same god-awful problem.

The car runs MINT again, and very strong.:thumb: :dsm:

Happens once and awhile (get knock sum through the roof for a second) Im thinking faulty maf, prob borrowing a friends till/if i do a blow throw setup. Hopefully this is it. Knock on wood i have yet to here the mechincal knock.

I got (just for 2 seconds) on my dataloger intake air temp and barometric pressure sensor codes. I think i get them upon startup every time? What can i do/what does that mean.
