looks good, i plan on dipping a joint project with a friend after we drop the 6 bolt in.

car looks good, im about to prep my car more than likely going to plastidip it,

anyone had it on their car for a LONG period of time? any problems down the road?

I need to do another coat on the hood and touch up a couple small things but other than that it's done. If you're going right over the headlights and then peeling it off for clean lines, go heavy on them - a thin coating is super hard to peel off

Looks like a flat black car, looks good for being plastic and protecting the actual paint

Could you plasti dip the bottom of your car as undercoating or just get it under coated? Id likemto get mine done before the salt hits the ground and figure this would be a cheaper method

It was using a spray gun... I had it done @ dMacStyleMotorsports,(http://www.facebook.com/dMacStyleMotorsports). It took a lot to cover my car, but it was black primer before the white plastidip. If anyone has any questions, you could probably reach him on Facebook pretty easy & he could answer any questions.

Have you had any issues with dirt and such sticking to the car? I am going to do it myself with the spray kit form dipyourcar.com but before I am worried about how much it will show dirt and discolor. Did you have them spray the plasti-dip clear coat as well?

I was on the same page with you. My thoughts were perfectly sealed under body it will never rust right? I was talking with a guy from work and he said Ford used a plastic based undercoat back in the 90s for there trucks. Once the plastic is punctured your salt water from the winter roads moves down the body as you drive down the road via capillary attraction. Spreading salt through chassis and sealing it inbetween the body and the undercoat, creating a serious rust problem. Im not so sold on the idea. Once punctured this stuff will have the same effect as Fords undercoating. On a regular chassis if salt get on the body and underside you just simply wash it off unless salt sits in fenders and what not but over all if you was your car and under coat it regularly in a salt state it will last a long time but this just might accelerate the process of rusting because once the salts underneat that plastic coat you cant get it back out without pealing all that stuff out. This is only speculation. It does look good on the body esspecially if you have a hammered up 20 year old paint job. Now all the ricers will be going from flat black to plasti black haha.

Wow. never even heard of this before now. That's awesome!! those cars look great. if you fancy a different colour but want to go back to the original sometime it's a great way to do it.

I'm having soooo many ideas for this now.

Do they do it in Silver?

This looks really sweet! I'm thinking of a two tone job on my 1g now. I love rattle canning stuff.

Now I got to ask, how will this fare on my rims? I'm totally thinking of how sweet my american racing rims would look with that matte black look this gives, but I don't want it to like chip up or something.

I think this might be a good way to do the top of my car. I just wonder if it will help hide the imperfections from the kid that owned the car before and sprayed the roof with 99c semi gloss from wally world.
