Plans for my 1g, are they safe?

Hey everyone.. i recently got a 1g tsi and i thought over my plans for the car and i want to ask if they are safe and if anyone has any suggestions.

I want to run about 17 psi on a 20g turbo with these mods..

SAFC II
550CC Injectors
Big FMIC
2g MAF and intake
190 walboro Fuel pump
Hallman pro boost controller

would it be safe to run that ammount of boost with these mods? what else do you guys reccomend? please help me out

Yeah, sounds like youve planned well. Shouldnt be a problem. Maybe get a logger/wideband though so you can be more precise with your SFAC and not tuning in the dark by the seat of your pants.

yeah ive been debating between a 16g and a 20g but i ran a 16g in my last car n i thought id try something differnt

Sounds pretty damn good to me. You should get a freer flowing exhaust. A high flow cat and Evo muffler would suit your needs as well because they'll help with keeping your car pretty quiet if you're worried about cops. 17psi on a 20G will be golden for you. You could even up your boost to 20-22psi if you wanted. I'd HIGHLY recommend polyurthane mounts because tha rubber in our mounts (especially us 1G guys) can get old and brittle. Its also good to keep your engine stationary to prevent breaking vital parts such as oil return lines and axles. My friend broke 2 front motor mounts in a 3 week period from tha lack of polyurthane.

No FPR on the list. I'd be afraid of overrunning the injectors with a 255. I believe a 190 should be ok for what he wants.

Can't she get away with the 650s and the safc2 because the 2G MAF on a 1G. I would also recommend a WBO2 to help with tuning because they are pretty cheap right now. Might want to plan on upgrading the clutch soon too if it's not done already.

yeah i have a clutch masters clutch.. its alright i liked my ACT 2600 way better tho .. and i believe the 650s will be okay with the safc my friend has 780 with a safc and her car is running fine

nah its cool, trust me id rather avoid the leg humpers. thats why i didnt make some girly user name. i appreciate the help ! and waht should i do first? turbo, injectors ? i dont know where to start

2. Itemize the parts that are not stock on your car
3. Fill out your profile
4. Maintenance
5. Boost leak test
6. Depending upon mileage, leak down test
7. More maintenance
8. Save up for parts, multiple by 2. Spend half of the money on keeping your car running while you save up for parts and to fix what you break in the process of putting on the parts.
9. Even more maintenance

I think that should at least get you through for quite some time. Always remember, you have to be able to "go" before you can "go fast".

I have to agree with you. Before my alcohol injection kit went in, at the top of 3rd I saw 95% injector duty cycle on my 650s using a e316g at 25 psi. The additional fuel (alcohol) has allowed me to remove 10% fuel and bring the IDC down to 85%.

Based on this, I would think that a 20g would be too much turbo for 550s. But if you keep the boost down, it might work out OK. I would get at least 650s even if you don't plan on pushing them to their full potiential. Get a wideband and logger if you can. They are indespensable tools if you want a good, safe tune.
