Ok, we will just do donations but i will have a members only page that can be viewed by all members and on it will show how much $ that person has donated so everyone will be able to see who is slacking. Also people who donate more will receive a bigger discount on parts. . Does everyone agree onthis now? So there will be no "start-up" fee but every member will be expected to donate some money throughout the year. We still need members though! Send me pics, mods, info

I also agree with the members only page showing the donations. I'm sure more people will be willing to donate if they know they'll get discounts or free stuff.

I sent you my mods list and a couple pics Sam. Not sure what other kind of info you wanted.

i have been looking into it and i can get a website and forums up using vbulletin software, which is what this site uses and perhaps the best format out there, with galleries and all that good stuff. i am willing to take the burden of all fees for building, hosting, and domain registration upon myslef. what do you guys think??

Well it would be really great if someone could get a forum started, u can get them for free but you have to know how to use PHP, its pretty hard, so unless someone knows this and is willing to do it i think we might be stuck paying for a forum.

As long as u know what u r doin it sounds good to me. So its gonna be a $15 starting fee and nothing else?

i can, if it is fine with everyone. i will pay for it all and then when its up and running people can donate if they care to. the only problem is that i am going on vacation from this friday until the 18th.

that's a toughy. i like pittdsm.com, but 3riversdsm.com sounds cool and fancy. although it sounds good, anyone that's not from pittsburgh or close to pittsburgh won't have any idea what 3riversdsm is. i think pittdsm.com would be the easiest, catchiest, most straight forward, easy name for the site. but that's not really a big deal so it' pretty much up to you dude.

Hey whats up guys! I think you getting a club together in the 'burgh is awesome. I live about 40 miles east in Indiana, PA. I have a '90 TSi for sale that I thought maybe somebody down there might be interested in. I dont know farmdog, but I know sam and I will be helping sam with everything (including funds). As for the name, I really want to see PittDSM, its nice and short, easy to rember and it will be the brother site of PittRacing.com

i was saying that i can get a website using the vbulletin software. this is one of the best formats out imo, and everyone is familiar with its features. i have not done anything so far. maybe we should just organize a meet(at the waterfront or something) sometime and then we can discuss this kind of stuff in person. it would be alot easier and get more accomplished that way. and also we would kinda know each other then too.

soooo....? who's making the website. farmdogg or espo(and friends)? what should the site be called. i think pittdsm is sweet. we really should get something going here soon so that we can get flyers out and advertise this club. this thing will take off as soon as we can get flyers out to other dsmers. i hope no one is loosing interest. this is still one of my top priorities. i sense there has been some loss of interest. please don't let this happen. i know that myself and farmdogg are still very much ready to do this and if everyone is loosing interest then we'll do this on our own and contact you all when we have something up and running. comon now guys, lets pull this together and get a pittdsm club!
