piston ring question

ok, i called up napa to oeder some piston rings for my 2.0 non turbo motor and they said they dont sell them, only the rings for the 2.0 turbo. since the only place we can get parts in my vo tech class is napa, i was wondering, how idfferent are the rings from the turbo motor to the non turbo motor, if it is possible i can use them

I gave you the contact info for jnz in a previous thread. It would be to your benefit to source your parts from someone who has a clue; Josh Jones is such a person.

The point is to buy the rings from him. Josh will give you a better price on O.E. Mitsu parts than the N.A.P.A. dealer( can your guy even get O.E.?) and has years of experience with the car.
Jones has been in the DSM group for a long time. He's a member of this board as well as NABR and is well respected. Call Josh if you want parts ,call N.A.P.A. if you want a headache..

the reason why i wanted to stay with NAPA through my vo tech is because i can get the part now and pay later. im not gonna pay for any of my part until im completly finished with the car and get more money. thats why i have been asking about the compatibility of parts rather than just goling somewhere and outright buying it there. my napa guy can get O.E. my complete gasket set was O.E. that i got there

please someone? i would need the answer by tomorrow. would the piston rings from the turbo motor fit on the pistons from the non turbo motor. dont tell me to buy somewhere else, just answer yes or no please. thanks all help is apreciated

I can't answer your question for sure, but If you can get over to Carlisle, I will give you new rings for 3 turbo pistons and an intake manifold.

I trashed 1 piston and had to buy a set of 4. Maybe you can trade them
for something that you could use.

sounds good, but im not sure if those turbo rings would fit my non turbo rings, if i drove down there and found out they wouldnt work i would have wasted like $40 in gas since my mighty max only gets like 10mpg on a good day. as soon as i get some more inout ill tell my answer
