Hey Guys,

So we finally have the gsx down to bare bones, just have the heater core left to take out this coming up weekend. So the plan is a sheet metal dash. We have some gauges that we are going to order and basically completely eliminate the stock cluster. We are getting electrical oil press, water temp, tranny temp, egt, boost, a tach and a speedometer. Thats it for now but that may change later on.

So we want to make a sheet metal dash, nothing fancy just something to hold the gauges in. It doesnt necessarily have to go all the way over to the passengers side of the car. Neither of us are expert welders but we have access to a rivet gun. Basically just looking for some tips or pics to help us in the process or even just get us going. I'm not even positive where to start.

Thanks guys!

Yea that looks pretty amazing there. My only issue would be access to a bender

Sorry about that, I just had to... :p You may not need a bender to get the dash looking like that... It would just be more trouble. But you could do it by lightly hammering the sharp edges to round them out and just weld from there. The welds will be showing but that can easily be fixed with some paint or you could keep the unfinished look, which I think would look cool. Like I said though, lots more work... :thumb:
