I am doing a custom fmic setup on my 92 TSI. I am going with a Johnny Racecar core and custom pipes. Hopefully a FMIC for under $350. The passanger side is a breeze. The drivers side is the side I see some difficulty. I have been searching and found some threads with pics and helped a little bit but I was hoping to get some more pics. I know its possible because most people out there have a side to side IC. Im looking for some pics from the j pipe down and around to the fmic. Thanks for any pics it will be a big help. :dsm: :talon: :laser:

I too would be interested in seeing pics as I'm doing a custom set of IC piping for my buddy's '93 TSI.

why not check the huge johnny racecore thread for pictures? there are some in there of what you want.

I already checked it and many others. I would not post a new thread unless I could not find what i wanted. Please post pics, NOTHING ELSE.

Here a couple pictures of JR's FMIC kit. This is on a 91 GSX, just a little FYI. Hope they help.

This is where the piping heads to the drivers side endtank, between the frame and radiator:

Thanks, that helps. but the more the better. What is everyone doing about their fans?

I'm getting the JRC kit, however i'm getting the "backdoor" setup. I'm also getting slimline fans.

What i was wondering, is whether or not its worth having the 90* elbow welded on from the turbo manufacturer if possible, or if just using a silicone hose works. thanks for any info.

(Or other pics of the backdoor setup would be nice too :thumb: )

obviously you didnt because when i was making my piping, like you want i found numerous pictures in that thread.

Drivemusic, a silicone house elbow works, at least for me it does. What other pictures do you need Boost95, what are you confused about?

Im going to be running a 16g. Most pics I did see with the piping ran was with no fans in it. Im looking for some pics with the fan and everything installed. Im just trying to find all the pics I can to get the best ideas from. I only need pics of how they ran pipes from the turbo to the intercooler on the drivers side. Thanks for the help so far QuickSilver! :thumb:

The only difference between my piping and a 16g set up is the j-pipe. Also, all you need to do is purchase a slimline fan (PM me for the location, if need be) and place it on the backside of the radiator (between the rad. and front mount), if of course you have no AC and have all ready taken out your condensor. If not, simply purchase a slimeline that is pull instead of a push-type, and mount it to the front of the radiator in the stock location.
