im in the market for a FMIC ....and ive seen some with short route piping...what are the advantages of it, if any? what fmic has the shortest route to the turbo?

Well, short route piping, too me, is an advantage. Instead of having 5 or more feet of tubing and couplers and clamps, you just have about a 2 foot short straight run piping run right to the t body and turbo. Its less travel of air, and less couplers, etc, =less to go wrong later down the road. I have the short route piping and I love it, Ill NEVER run a long route piping system again. I have SBR's kit. Look into it for the 2G, its short route.

If you have an aftermarket UICP such as the dejon hard pipes, then your best bet is to go the long route, which in all honesty isn't that much longer.

Im going to be putting my FMIC on this week or next and i currently have the dejon UICP that goes to my stock sidemount. All i need to run my piping both ways are two u bends and a 90 degree bend.

So you need 3 more pieces to complete your pipes though. My entire piping is 3 peices. A t-body elbow, a pipe w/ bov flange/ and another pipe to run from turbo to IC inlet. Thats it. Check gallery for my pics if you wish.

I understand its shorter thats why i said it was shorter. The only thing im saying is it makes more sense to go long route piping if he already had an upgraded UICP. :thumb:
