Got a quick question for you guys.. I picked up a 91 Laser RS 5 speed (its actually my old car) and I've been trying to get it back to normal. pulled the GM maf-t and put a stock 1g maf back on, piping is not re-circ from the bov yet(too cold for me to work on anything). but my question comes from this, under low boost, partial throttle conditions I am showing a lot of knock.. much more so then I believe I should be seeing.

So if you clear it out and check where the knock is.. does that make sense or is it phantom knock?

Thanks guys.

Hi, a few years back when I first got my car it had ecmlink v3 lite and I started getting a good bit of part throttle knock and having timing pulled everywhere, I sent the ecu to ecmtuning and sure the knock was caused by a solder and they fixed it it for free, I understand the car may not have link but I guess I’m saying check the ecu and replace knock sensor LOL

Well. It's looking like it was a vacuum line connected wrong. This ones on me for not double checking. Previous owner hooked up an AFPR wrong.
