i been having a phantom knock issue for a little over a year, car knocks when is in netrual and i just rev it, it pickes up about 5counts when im cruisng the car picks up about 15 counts..under pretty much any throttle...some times does it some times it dont..but everyday when i druve the car is knocking...

im on a 16g at 14psi on e85 and it knocksthe same amount it did when i was on pump.. i tried adding the washer on the ks but still have the same issue.

so my question is how do i ground the knock sensor? i know how dangerous it is, but i want to ground it and see how it goes. please someone help me

What are your knock sensor control settings set at in link?

Also,
Posting a log would allow us to say better for sure whether it's PK or Real knock... Assuming it's PK would be unwise(Or has been)... .

For right now I have stock settings on link..I just recived it today..but when I used to have it last year it wa the samething on pump gas and e85... Base timing is set perfect, no boost leaks, I switchef to e85 same thing, took it to a local shop to get knock tuned out.and no luck..

If I have link ignore knock would it be the same as grounding the ks??

A washer? Ground it should be connected to the harness.

People use rubber washer between the block and ks to absorb mechanical knock

So if I set ecmlink to ignore pk is the same as if I had the pk grounded?

well, i feel stoopid for posting this, but after sooooo long messing with knock issues, i finally fixed it. the car when i purchesed it it didnt have a timing cover, well i decided to do a timing belt and tensioner. well i noticed that the camgears were on point and timing belt didnt have no slack. when i took of the tire of the car, the timing belt had about 2-2.5 inches of slack at the bottom. so i swapped timing belt and tensioner set the crank and bs on time but the camgears were like 4-5 tooths off, so i finally set everything on time, turned the car on and knock issue is resolved LOL. i imediatly killed the clutch. LOL
