ok guys i just bought a bone stock 95 talon tsi. everything worked but my girlfriend pulled the passenger door handle to hard and broke the rod or something. sorry not very descriptive but i can not open the door from the inside or out any suggestions on this situation?

You can't open it from either the outside or the inside? I don't know what I'd do in that instance.

Correct i can not open it from either side so i cant take the screws out to let the door panel come off.

So OK, I just went and looked at my car and put myself in your shoes. What I would try and do is: I would roll down the window and try to slip the interior rubber off of the top first and then slide it from between the door and b pillar. I could see the head of the top screw with the rubber on so you might be able to see both without it in there. You may be able to get the screws out with so tricky unscrewing. You might have to take the passenger seat out in order to get enough swing on the rear of the door panel to get into the inside of the door to manually open the door. The front screws are a lost cause because of the dash being right in the way. If you are able to get the door open, then you could take front screws off after the fact. Its just a thought and hope this may help.

BTW, Try this at your own risk. If you end up trying this and something breaks, I am/will not be responsible.

If it cant open from both in and out the metal hanger that clips into a plastic piece must of fell off. Take off the door panel itll be clipped on after you unscrew the 6 screw, 2 front, 2 rear, door handle and door grip. disconnect the harness to fully take off the panel. you might have to cut a hole in the plastic to reach into the door. look into the door in the very back, itll be hard to reach you can use plyers to bend the door to create space. if its popped off just push it back in and make sure it clips together. and try it out before you put the panel back LOL

Sorry took me so long to reply. Anyways i took a long flat head screw driver about a foot long. I put the Screw driver in the opening mechanism and pushed down and it opened. I still cant open from outside if i shut the door. If i lock the door it wont open at all so i have no idea on what would cause this.

Check all the little plastic clips the hold the conecting rod in place make sure they are still intact and then check the handle its self......ive seen the metal tab that the metal rod connects to get bent, so you can grab the outside handle but nothing happens....theres a little tab that gets bent and the handle by passes the metal plate and doesnt move the linkage
