Painting rims question

Just painted my rims last night. Cost me 35$ and about 10 hours of pain in the ass sanding/painting.

When I bought the car the rims were super eat up and corroded due to the previous owner chewing on them? Or something... I have no idea how you do that to some wheels.

Anyways, heres the before and after incase the upload didnt work.

My question is, how long should I wait to wash the car, tires and rims?

I sanded everything down really well, used 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint, and 3 or 4 clear coats. Finished them about 7 or 8 hours ago. How long should I wait to wash them and the rest of the car?

For some reason the after doesnt look as good as in person, probably because the flash and it being dark outside.

Had a few people ask me where I got it done at because it looked so good

I would wait 2-3 weeks before washing the wheels. As for the car body you should be fine if you didn't paint anything on that.

I used to do this until I found craigslist. The deals some people put up, are just rediculous. One time I got 4 nice aluminum rims with mitsu symbols in middle, including 4 almost new tires on them for literally $100 bucks, and the guy drove them to me. Just keep that in mind. I'm sure you did learn a thing or two doing this though, which is good itself.

I did shop around but couldnt find anything reasonable.

All the kids in my area think DSMs are super rare, thus overcharge because they are retards.

Plus, I like the premium talon wheels

I did learn a lot about painting though.

I learned more about sanding, unfortunately the hard way.

(My hands hurt as im typing this)
