I have 2g Eclipse Rims on my 1g Talon and I think they look good. The only thing is though is that I think they would look even better black or a gun-metal color. But... I don't want to screw up the rims. Has anybody attempted this or seen it done. I would just like to know if there is a way to do it and make it look good and clean or if it's just a bad idea alltogether. And if anybody's done it and they have pics I'd like to see them. Thanks.

It has been done with good results I may add. I wouldn't suggest painting them right before winter though. If you do be sure you completely clean the rims of any dirt and dust and grease. Then rough up the surface with sandpaper or something abrasive. Primer them with 2-3 coats and paint them with 4-5 coats. That's what I did on my rims I had on my old 2g and they turned out really well. Never scratched knicked or anything like that.

A couple of good clear coats will help as well. :thumb: You can also find a powder coat set up that you actually bake off in an old household oven that works real well.

Powerdercoat is ok but it's so heavy. You can also have them wetsprayed to if you are looking for something really nice colored.\
