I have searched this topic and found a picture of a little connector that runs below the intake. I believe it connects to the wastegate and hooks up to a little electrical input. When I looked on my car, there is no electrical input. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=32694&stc=1
That is a picture of the input I am talking about. My car which I have just purchased doesn't have that. It seems to have 2 loose wires. One has a little white coned pastic tip at the end which seems to be melted. The other just looks like a loose vacuum line. My car is throwing the P1104 code and I am pretty positive that it is from this problem. Can someone please tell me how to resolve this problem? I dont know who to go to or how to repair it. I don't even know what it is. I do know that it is supposed to travel back to the ecu and the engine measures how much air flows through the wastegate or whatnot.
There is no added boost controller to the car...at least I most definitely don't see one. The only modification to the car is the greddy type s bov with makes the car run like garbage since there is no blow Through set up. The previous owner (who I do not know of) has even fitted the Greddy type S onto the stock flange on the intake by adding some kind of yellow bonding to prevent leaks. As of now...i have no boost control solenoid wire. I do know what if i floor the pedal, it will feel like a fuel cut. I believe it is a boost leak unless it is the wastegate uncontrollably dumping the air.

The pic you provided is of a BCS (boost control soleniod) I am unsure if that is the code in which your car is throwing. However, buying, or making a MBC (manual boost controller) will allow you do remove the BCS and control your boost manualy.

If you are sure its the loose wires one the BCS connecter, take the wires out, strit a little of the coating off and reinstall the wires into the connecter. Make sure you plug it back in to the BCS or you WILL throw another CEL.

project_tsi, please dont say things like this. Its vague and untrue.

2Gs will throw a CEL if the bcs isn't plugged in. You can replace the bcs with a mbc for boost controlling like Dan said but it must stay plugged in or hook up a resistor to trick the ECU into thinking it's still there.

Thank you for correcting me. I was unaware that a 2g will throw a CEL if the BCS is no longer there. I was just going by what my setup did, on a 1g. :thumb:

On 2G's, you have to leave the BCS plugged in, but you don't have to use it. You can still bypass it with a MBC like Dan said and just leave the electrical connections hooked to the BSC. That is how mine has been since I've owned my car.

EDIT - I just realized Bruce's post above says the same damn thing I just said. (good work Bruce! :thumb: )

What do I do If I dont have a Connector anymore? like the little plug that plugs into the BCS is gone. I just have two wires. So my friend gave me his old BCS but im not so sure its a 2g BCS... Are there some resistors that I can Wire in to make this CEL go off? I cant remember for the life of me what the resistor values are for the BCS...help!

I was wondering if there are any other problems that could set off a P1104 code than just the BCS being unplugged? I have a pending code and have the same "fuel cut" like symptoms. I have inconsistant boost at all levels, and at WOT I get a "fuel cut" like jerk. I can post pics or a video if it is necessary. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Oh and if you are sitting there like WTF... Yes, I did just bring back a more than four year old thread ...
BTW: Trust me, I have read threads upon thread about this problem with nearly no soultions offered. They all seem to just die off much like this one.

Jimmer307.... Did you ever figure out the problem... I seem to be having the same problem and also getting the p1104 code
