I have searched this topic and found a picture of a little connector that runs below the intake. I believe it connects to the wastegate and hooks up to a little electrical input. When I looked on my car, there is no electrical input. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=32694&stc=1
That is a picture of the input I am talking about. My car which I have just purchased doesn't have that. It seems to have 2 loose wires. One has a little white coned pastic tip at the end which seems to be melted. The other just looks like a loose vacuum line. My car is throwing the P1104 code and I am pretty positive that it is from this problem. Can someone please tell me how to resolve this problem? I dont know who to go to or how to repair it. I don't even know what it is. I do know that it is supposed to travel back to the ecu and the engine measures how much air flows through the wastegate or whatnot.

the boost control solenoid wire is disconnected. Put the electrical
harness back on. It doesn't mean anything, but the ECU knows the solenoid is
out of the loop. It happened when the new controller was put on. It's common
for 1Gers to remove the solenoid, but annoying for 2gers. hope this helps ya :thumb:

There is no added boost controller to the car...at least I most definitely don't see one. The only modification to the car is the greddy type s bov with makes the car run like garbage since there is no blow Through set up. The previous owner (who I do not know of) has even fitted the Greddy type S onto the stock flange on the intake by adding some kind of yellow bonding to prevent leaks. As of now...i have no boost control solenoid wire. I do know what if i floor the pedal, it will feel like a fuel cut. I believe it is a boost leak unless it is the wastegate uncontrollably dumping the air.

You are hitting fuel cut. All the solenoid does is limit the amount of boost you can run. It is set at 7-8psi, like said before the only reason you are getting the code is because it doesn't have the connector attached to the two weirs. So it is out of loop, get a new connector or maybe just connect the two wiers together. Also check to see or you have the Boost Control Solenoid (BCS) or the Wast Gate Control Valve (WGCV): mounted on the aircan I hope this helps :thumb: :talon:

what i meant was the guy had one on there and took it off and left it hanging. its throwing your ecu in a loop. thats wh your engine light is on. see if there is a BC siloeind somewere or just cross the wires together, or you need a new connector. what rpm are you hitting when the "leak" or "fuel cut" hits. let me know if it feels like someone tied a rope to the back in and pulled your car pack and your tranny is behind you. if thats the case, then its fuel cut. you need to get the BCS connector or just cross the wires. hope this helps. keep me posted. :dsm:

Check the vacuum port on your wastegate actuator and make sure there is a boost pressure source connected to it. On a stock 2g it is connected to a port on the compressor housing of your turbo (along with a tee to go to the boost control solenoid). If there is nothing connected to the vacuum port of your wastegate actuator, then your wastegate will never open and your boost pressure will rise uncontrollably which could lead to fuel cut.

Well I had another look under my hood. Here's what it looks like (in words). Two wires coming from the wastegate actuator/wastegate and they roll under the intake and come up where my intake filter is. These two wires are connected by a plastic T shaped connector. Both wires appear to have been cut and connected to this t shaped connector. The wires are connected on both sides of the connector and there is one part of the connector that is left open. However it seems that the plastic on the open side is melted to prevent a leak(I believe). So both Wires are like under a vacuum situation. Also I found a solenoid behind the fuse box and after the battery. However, it has nothing to connect too. I believe this is my problem. I live in Parsippany, NJ. Any experts around me who would like to take a look at my car? If not, can you suggest some reputable shops around in Northern NJ because I have 45 days (inspection) to get this situation fixed. Also, I took my car for a drive. Sometimes (fuel cut or boost leak) it comes up but then goes away. This happens when i floor the pedal. When the leak or cut goes away..the car picks up speed significantly. When leak or cut is there, the car simply vibrates and takes its time to get the rpms higher. This is all when I floor it.

Based on your under-the-hood description, it sounds like the previous owner disconnected the boost control solenoid from the tee and attempted to seal-off this port of the tee (which may be leaking). The other two ports of the tee should connect to the turbo compressor housing and the wastegate actuator. To get your car into its original stock configuration, you could replace the tee and run a vacuum hose between the third port of the tee and the lower port of the boost control solenoid. Run another hose from the upper port of the boost control solenoid to the port of your intake hose. Lastly, reconnect the wiring harness to the electrical connector of the boost control solenoid.

is the boost control solenoid and the wastegate silenoid the same thing?... im asking ### im having the same code on my car and the local shop said it was code P1104 (turbo controller).. so im just trying to figure it out so that i can delete that code and not worry about it popping back up...
