turbo wastegate actuator malfunction

my check engine light came on the other day. So i got the code and it said turbocharger waste gate actuator malfunction. i was thinking about getting another stock waste gate but its other people told me to get an aftermarket one but I'm not sure what to do. If anyone has any suggestion's let me know.

Unless you have other mods done that would require you to get an external wastegate i would just buy a replacement for the stock one. Did you check to see if the vacuum line is still hooked to the wastegate? Or see if the wastegate arm is still attached to the flapper?
