Alright so I got tired of changing out the gatorade bottle that I have as a coolant overflow. I have been looking to buy an aftermarket one but I'm not sure which one. I'm looking for something not to expensive. Also looking for a catch can I was looking at the weapon r reservoir but not sure if it'll work good in a dsm cooling system. Looking for suggestions on a good overflow for a resonable price.
Thanks in advance.

Well I don't have one and I have short route piping for my front mount so it won't clear to fit the oem one.

I am going to look at those how would this one do from weapon r would they all perform the same.

I read somewhere that the radiator has to be able to suck water back in. Is that true. And which reservoir will allow this.
Thanks for ## help guys.

correct thats why the stock overflow has the hose going into it and has a low and hi fill point.

The cooling system does need to suck coolant back in when everything cools down. A design that allows this has the tube run from the water neck to a point low on the reservoir, with a purge fitting up top. Slightly different look than the OEM bottle and cap, but works the same.

The products mentioned above could be made to work, but it wouldn't be worth my effort. As is, they're more suited to be oil catch cans. 92awdgsx is showing off some that he is making in the Custom Fabrication section. Not as cheap, but it will work right. Couldn't find any images of 2slow's reservoirs, but have a feeling they would work properly as well.

Or you could just move yours/buy a stock bottle and locate it elsewhere. I just like being able to see how much is in there. Not even the stock bottle is very useful for that.

Ok. I just checked the link I posted I posted the wrong one. This other design is more like what you explained. It has the nipple from the water neck lower down.

I would like to be able to get the one from 92awdgsx, but its just out of my price range. Does it matter how much fluid it holds. What's the minimum I should look for it to hold.
Thanks.

Has anyone used the reservoir above and been succesful running it. Km looking to buy it tomorrow but want to make sure it'll function right and hold enough fluid.
Thanks.
