so my original radiator neck broke and my car over heated and i didnt drive it until i put the new one on...and realized that my a/c had melted i know it was most likely due to not having my heat shields on but now that i have replaced the radiator put the heat shields back on im still running hot and have melted another fan.

what should i do?

and i was so close to finishing my setup too:banghead:

The thermostat is fine. Yes the new radiator is alum...now for the slim fans wouldnt i still have the sameTproblem since the blades are still plastic? Is there any other solution to reduce the heat?

You might want to look at the radiator cap too. sometimes if those go bad you can overheat. Cheap insurance.

Definitely check your radiator cap. Your car over heating will cause the rubber to get brittle and not seal. No seal means no pressure in the cooling system allowing the fluids to boil at a lower temp IE over heat... I chased a cooling problem similar to this. 10 bucks at the parts store fixed it... Don't forget to burp the system too. Good luck
