I really don't have that much money, so I was looking for a cheap deal. I am somewhat skeptical on Ebay things, but for just over $1000, it looks good on my end.

I am looking for a cheap turbo, not any hopes for uber horsepower. I would prefer to sell my Eclipse and buy a GSX, but that is not possible right now. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Doesnt include anything for fuel upgrades. Plus, Im not a first hander with NT turboing, but I know there is more than that to turboing an NT.

I can tell you to research it and take your time, dont get rushed. Its well worth it.

wow that turbo kit on the second link looks like a great deal damm i wish i had the money now...

sweet !! +1 for the kit that comes with an aem uego and a tial and an sfmu!!!!!!!

I'd buy the second one and sell the neo, b/c it won't really do you a hole lotta good, then you can get 30# injectors and not have to run the high fuel pressures required with the stock injectors. Also you're gonna spend another ~100 or so on the fuel lines to install the sfmu, so you could use the money from the neo for that

I would just reconsider the whole going turbo situation honestly...if you're already talking about money constraints and you're looking at ebay turbo kits, you're just gonna end up here later asking what's wrong with your car etc etc. You should fully research the decision before hand as well as account for all the money it will cost that's not included in the price of a "bolt-on" kit. :thumb:

Thanks for the input. Ya, I definately will research into it more. But I do have to agree, that kit that Too Fast put up, that is better than what I found. Well, worse comes to worse, I could always resell the kit if I decided I don't want to mess with going with the turbo option.

Theres a guy that I go to school with used an ebay turbo kit and it took a crap on him couple days after installing it, manifold cracked in half, turbo seized up, I wouldn't waste the money personally just do some bolt ons if your worried bout the cash.

do yourself a favor and stay away from ebay turbo kits. My brothers Honda is turbocharged and after reading the horror stories of people blowing motors due to boost spikes... weve learned that its best to do it right the first time. A good wastgate is crucial, as is a turbo from a reputable brand that wont blow its seals after 5k miles.

id still look into boosting the car but just do it right

I don't entirely agree with this. There are reputable sellers who also sell on ebay just because their website alone doesn't have the exposure of some others, doesn't mean they are selling cheap chinese glued together turbos. You just have to know where to look and if a price is too good to be true then it probably is. I'm a firm believer of purchasing quality proven parts for anything that involves moving parts, turbo, bov, wastegate, etc. But exhausts, manifolds (besides obx), intercoolers/piping, etc. Ebay it.

Doesn't matter, he's deciding against boost for now and using his money more wisely...end of thread
