Hi, I'm new to this forum and was browsing through the search to get some ideas for my brother's 96 RS. I typically can't stand cheesy e-bay crap, but came across a CAI for $25 CAI on ebay . I was just curious as to whether or not anyone has used this particular intake, I'd like to find out if the fitment is at least half-way decent. I'm not worried about the filter, I got a couple extra K&N's that would probably fit. I was going to brew up my own custom intake but figured, hell, for $25 I'll just go this route.

Okay I haven't used that particular ebay intake, but FYI stay away from the HiroSpeed Bomz racing CAI, I bought that and it came Pre-DENTED, and then it didn't go infront of the wheel well, like its supposed too.

That one looks fine to me, but you might want to ask what the diameter of the intake is. (inside diameter), cause the one I got was like 2in, and I choked my engine for a long ass time.
I finally just went with the AEM CAI, because my engine just wasn't cutting it with the ebay intake.

You could probably make your own out of PVC pipe from Home Depot. But whatever you choose should work for now ie (if you plan on going turbo eventually)

i think that one looks fine.i bought mine from ebay and it worked fine,no use in paying 150 + for a piece of aluminum pipe.we all would like to have the nice aem,or injen intakes but in this case ebay will do just fine.

Thanks for the input. I'd like to be able to avoid this route as much as possible, but there's no way I was going to stick with the factory intake, and I've just been running an K&N filter I had on his stock intake tube, which sits RIGHT behind the cooling fan, sucking in all that nice hot air. I was considering doing a Home Depot setup, but figured all the extra connections is only going to create extra unwanted turbulence and not even fit all that well.
