so did anyone feel any difference after buying an ebay CAI?

I deffinatly noticed a differance. Your going to want to get a good air filter though. The stuff they send with the kit is usually crap.

but how does it sit in there with no mounting harware attached?

Don't buy an ebay cheap air intake. Go with ones that are from name brand vendors, its worth the extra money.

Suieclipe, please explain why. I've had both, and can say the ebay ones are no different. Its just a Mandrel bent alluminum pipe.... not much variation in that.

WOW. Thats all i can say after spending the better part of an hour ripping my engin bay apart I found out that the intake they sent me doen't even come close to fitting. It comes out of the TB so far that it hits on the winshield washer resevour(sp) and not even close to resting inbetween the battery and the valve cover. The filter ends up resting on top of the fuse box. Needless to say that the company whom i purchased this intake from got an email and an unfriendly email at that. We'll have to see what they do about it. My guess is nothing but who knows. The funny thing is the intake doesn't really look like the one in the pic and i wonder if they sent me the wrong one. I'll keep you posted on what they say.

after looking around on ebay some more i found that he sent me the intake tube for a 2000 and up eclipse. I wonder if he will send me the right tube now.

well you get what you pay for. I found my aem v2 for a good price on ebay (only $50 more than a cheapo ebay intake) so I dished out the money for one and I couldn't be happier.
