pipes are pipes, as long as it is bolt on, it is fine..... not all ebay items are dirt cheap and crappy......

Try and see if you can find one where the header to downpipe connection is more leak proof. a friend of mine bought one with a similar connection to this one. OR if you buy it, try and get that connection welded all the way around and youd be good!

otherwise try and get something more like this one. pay attention to where the header connects to the downpipe.

Ok this one is connected as one peice and keeps my cat (which doesn't matter in the state), and adds up to a cheaper price.
Would this one be better?[/QUOTE]

Ok the only thing wrong I see with this is that you get like a loud exhaust leak under your hood with that connection, very annoying. After a while, the viabration from the driving make that bold and nut get loose. you'll get a mean exhaust leak, worst case scenario, by some freak accident the bold and nut fall off and your stuck dragging your downpipe home LOL

hell its only $75!! I'd say buy it and just have the ####er welded :thumb:

Thanks you guys.
I have decided that right now I am going to get paint (for obvious reasons), then with the next money I get, I am going to get a set like the one piece set headers and intake for the added horses and fuel economy when I keep my foot out of it.
Thank you again.

I've been running ebay header and down pipe on my rs for about 2 years now with no problems. When you get the header bolted to the down pipe, it is quite snug, and you may have to force it through a bit. Mine doesn't leak under the hood at all. If this is your dd then I recommend leaving the cat converter on because the test pipe makes the car sound like rice. Good luck! :D

yah i wouldn't get that one i got the bbp one for my rs and its great i had the one your looking at and stainless my ass . the bbp one i got works great seemed to have better flow and it bolted rite up to stock and has not rusted or cracked like the one your looking at and the bbp one has a real exhaust flange not that set up the one your looking at the one your looking at will most likely leak. but its your choice if i wer you i would try and find the full bbp exhaust you can pick one up for under 300 bux and if you just want the header and dp its like 70 bux

I plan on getting my header and down pipe welded together. I know that they are nice and snug, but just the thought of the nut and bolt coming apart is what worries me.
