Hey guys.. im plotting for the new turbo to compliment my setup.. Im looking for full spool at or around 3500rpm (3200 is better, while 3800 is doable) .. My setup does and will consist of:

2L w/ weisco 9:1 pistons
Forced Performance stage 2 cams
extrude honed 1G intake mani
Dejon Coil on Plug
Dejon race FMIC w/ 3" GM MAF
MAF-T gen 2 with SAFC II - OR - DSM LINK
880cc injectors
255hp hotwired
DSM GT manifold
Dejon 3" downpipe/cutout

All in a 90 model AWD w/ a act2600 clutch, fidanza flywheel, and aluminum driveshaft.

Im looking for 425-450awhp on pump gas ~20psi.. and over 500awhp on race gas ~28psi...

I found this turbo at Dejon for $729! The oil line kit is another $69. Same price as the 6152, but I dont want the lag and higher rpm characteristics of the 6152.. I will shift no higher than 7500rpm.

let me know what you guys think!

The SCM bolt on turbine housing in a turbo of this size wont do well. It will surge and will prove to be a big restriction at high boost levels. I am also looking for a bigger turbo right now and was looking hard at the $729 SCM6152 but after talking with some much more experienced DSMers I have decided to go full T3.

I contemplated going full t3 or t4, but the price is more than I have or care to spend on just a turbo.

I know lots of people have had luck with the scm6152, i just dont want that big.. looking for a more street oriented setup.

Turbo is garbage don't bother with it. Trust me i know. Surges after 22psi with the normal comp housing. Even with my custon anti surge housing it still surges in 5th.

I thought about the 3431 (57 trim) at first but after looking at the comp map & talking to people, it didn't seem like a great choice. It looks like you want a std bearing version so it would probably be at the top end or abit higher of the spool range your looking for. Hate to say it since I don't like to do what everyone else is but the good old 50 trim is probably a good choice for you if you want the quicker spool. If your looking at BB versions I would recommend the GT3076. If you want to stick to a std bearing & want abit of growing room but still have good spool for the size I would look at the GT3561 that dejon has on sale right now ($849). If you do a search people have made very good numbers with this turbo on pump & it has pretty good spool since its using the newer GT wheels.
