Hey all,
I am currently having an issue where my car randomly dies while idling and at light throttle.
It started on the highway, I was about 20% throttle, and all of a sudden the throttle cuts out and the car wanted to go nowhere. Then it came back and felt normal about 5 seconds later. It repeated that probably 3 times, then once I got off the highway and stopped at a light, it died. I restarted it, drove about a mile and I slowed down to turn and it died again mid-turn. I drove home after work and I had no issues whatsoever.
Then, come to yesterday, I went to start the car to try and figure out the issue, and it started up and died a couple seconds later, repeated about 5 times. After the 5th or so time, it idled normally and up to temp. I took it for a drive, it was fine for the first 15 minutes, then I come to a light to turn, and it died 2 times mid-turn. I looked back at the log and noticed that whenever the car died, the Omni 4 Bar MAP sensor read -28.9 in/hg. I've read this means that it is disconnected. Well, once I got home I popped the hood and saw that it's clearly plugged in, and it wasn't loose or anything.
Attached is the log I took when I went for the drive. The car dying at the stoplight happens around 780 seconds in the log.
I also did a small pull to wastegate pressure and it went super lean around and jerked back and forth around 3000 rpm 8psi (I don't know if the MAP sensor is causing this since it's not fully tuned yet). I thought this was odd because my tuner told me to do a WOT run from 2500-4500 the day before and it ran perfectly fine. Even cruising it was fine.
Has anyone else had this issue and these symptoms?
I'm currently in an email chain with ExtremePSI to see if I can have a new one sent out. Is there anything I can test in the meantime to be 100% sure it's the MAP Sensor?
Thanks for reading!
