Well i Finally made it home from overseas and am doing the installs on all the stuff i bought... right now we are installing the SBR FMIC and we ran into a snag.... it seems the only way to make it fit right (we had to bend on of the hinges to make the bolts even fit. but nothing is meant to be easy i understand... Ive decided to take the bumper support completely out...because if i get in a wreck everything is crushed anyways..so the only way we made it fit was crooked :/ So Ive come to the decision I have to get hood pins (blah) and the intercooler will be straight... thats all for tonight just wanted to hear yer guys opinions...

As everyone else has said, welcome home. And i'm sure you can survive with hood pins...until a better route comes up.

FYI, as long as as you still have that tac weleded hood latch support, and the hood latches okay then hood pins should do you aight.

My friends auto GSX had his hood pins break on him, and his hood fly up and the hump smash in his windsheild doing about 70mph on I-5.

Just do what you gotta do, but constantly check the integrity of your pins...make sure they don't bend or nothing. AND DO NOT MODIFY THEM IN ORDER TO GET THE HOOD TO FIT PROPERLY on them. No bending them slighty. Trust me.

ok well u guys ready for the laugh? first of all the intercooler did not come with instructions.....so thats my excuse and im sticking to it but anyways it turns out the intercooler was upside down..... however when we put it the way its supposed to be it hangs quite a ways down.....and i already orderd the pins..so im just gonna put it on upside down to avoid cutting the frame anymore.... the radiator will get VERY little airflow however im removing the condensor so that will help a little and also i just bought a 160 degree thermostat and i have 2 12" slimline fans on the raidator i will keep an eye on it however ithink that will do quite a bit....what do u guys think?

IT should sit right about even with the bottom of you front bumper if you un tweak the tweak you made...

well when we put it in the way its supposed to...it sits quite a bit lower... and i think it looks better we will have to squeeze that coupler below the alternator tho...bt wyour pic just showed up as a red X

Well if you go without hood pins you probably WILL end up driving hoodless at some point. Who knows you might even get to drive windshieldless also.

Thread starter guy: You might want to take a closer look at your kit, I think it's faulty.I pulled off my bumper cover, lost my 5mph bumper and then removed it's supports. Trim 8sq/in of metal, and threw the bi*** on. This picture was litteraly 10 mintues after FMIC install. You can see how rediculously level it sits. No fabrication needed.
