Ask Me,
Virginia
Hey, just wondering if I am supposed to put the gaskets on dry or if I am supposed to use RTV right along with the gaskets?
Thanks
Thanks

it's my old car
!! ok...NOTI use copper spray but on the gasket that goes to the oil pan I use 2 gaskets with copper spray. Found that to be the best way and no leaks
I dont use rtv with my return line gaskets. I have use copper spray on the return line when its not an oem gasket and just a paper one, works very well. It was actually the gasket Jus supplied me when he rebuilt my turbo.
I know people who have used rtv, but they use very little, just to hold the gasket in place. If you do use it, do not be generous, no more than a 1/8 inch this bead. This is what happens when you go RTV crazy, I bought the turbo and removed the line to find this:You must be logged in to view this image or video.
