Oil pump threaded balance shaft cover

What happens if you remove this cover/plug that goes over the b-shaft and run the motor? Does oil leak out all over the place? (the one on the right)

That's the oil pump shaft/seal. If you remove the seal you will have one massive oil leak

No, the one above it, the balance shaft cover/nut. What if I remove that cover/nut? See, it looks like a square star.

You will still get oil leaking out of there as well. The castle plug has a gasket behind it to prevent oil from seeping out.

Cool, thats what I want to hear, hopefully with a new seal this will cure my oil leak!
