So, after I got my car all fixed.. I took it for a test drive and the cam gear bolt broke. Causing the cam gear to jump off.. I explained most of this in a different thread. Anyways, I noticed I had very low oil pressure when I was pulling it back into the house. I figured It was the oil pump that had failed as well.

I took an oil pump off a 2.0 at the junk yard and was wondering if the balance shafts are supposed to come out with it? Also, will a 1992 2.0 N/A oil pump work on my 1990 2.0 turbo motor? I'm not to sure about this.. I've searched a little bit and can't really find anything that helps me. If anybody knows for sure. Please let me know!

THANKS

The shafts will come out with the front case assembly aka oil pump. But not sure about the two pumps bolting up though.

The only thing that holds the balance to the oil pump is that bolt. Tap it with a hammer or something it should come free.
