Oil Pump Rebuild or Replace

I am rebuild a motor and I still have my old engine, so should I just yank out the old one and rebuild it or just buy a brand new one?

My vote is also for a new OEM one... Do not go with the topline ones. I had a brand new topline one seize up in a new motor and it caused hell for me...

OEM for sure, the cheapos are known to fail under pressure.

You can measure gear play to see if its still within spec. I would reccomend a new oem one but hey sometimes money is tight.
