I'm halfway through my build and see that around the oil pump is oil, my car has low km, should I replace the gasket to save $ or will this pump fail once i get into the 300hp range?

Another question , what is the best way to take off the crank sproket? I've heard many people having to break them off

Use the specified tool to remove the crank sprocket. I have removed crank sprockets on many motors without issue - there is no reason to break it off.

Regarding the oil leak, where is it coming from? Did you use anaerobic sealer during the install? The correct o-ring? There is no oil pump gasket per se. If it is an OEM oil pump, keep it. It is more reliable than aftermarket Melling units.

You are unclear in your description regarding being halfway through the build and having an oil leak. Are you building a separate motor, yet the current motor has oil leaking from the oil pump? Because a half-way finished build should have no oil leaking (unless you screwed something). Are you sure the oil is not leaking from a cam seal and draining down? Or maybe the head gasket is leaking oil and draining down? Valve cover gasket leaking?

You cannot put a HP limit on oil pumps. It is irrelevant.

I'm taring the motor down and saw the oil on and around the oil pump, it's the same pump from factory never been changed, so I should remove the pump and re-seal it?

Now that I think of it it could have been from the headgasket last winter I needed to replace it. But if this pump from factory is in good shape I should be okay to re-seal it and bolt it back on?

make sure your castle nut o-ring is there... i had the same problem on my rebuild....

This is a 420a application.

Why do 4g63 owners never pay attention to where they are posting?

K thanks for the help,

Do not pay attention to the post above you regarding the castle nut.

On to the oil you saw: you never answered my question if it came from somewhere else. Valve cover leak? HG? Cam seals? When you tore it down, what did the seals look like? You cannot assume that having oil around the oil pump means the pump is leaking.

No leaks on head ( valve gasket, cam seals, headgasket) closer to the top of the block there is no oil, but the oil pump has quite abit of sludge and oil on and around it, and alot on the ledge just under the pump

The pump itself isn't very likely to leak. If your car really doesn't have many miles on it, re-using the stock pump should be okay. An upgraded pump is only about $100 or so, though.

With any rebuild, you should replace all the of the seals and gaskets. You can find lower end, top end, and complete gasket kits online. In your case, I'd definitely recommend replacing the front main seal and oil pan gasket, and using RTV and anaerobic sealant where the FSM recommends them.
