ok well to start out when i start my car with the stock gauge the car at idel when it is warm is barely above to the lowest make on the stock gauge. then at 3000rpms it is at the 1st real make on the gauge.

what could this be?

i checked that the timing of the oil pumpm was right and it was. im using mobil 1 synthecic 10w 30 oil? is this normal? one of my sensors is leakin a little oil our of it. it dosnt burn oil but leaks a little. also someone who owned the car befor me had crushed the pan up by puttin a jack under it. i ordered a new pan gasket so im going to take the pan off and see if it is to close to the oil pickup and straighten the pan up.

any help would be great

You need an aftermarket gauge, the stock ones are pretty hard to read and slow to react. If your pan is crushed it could be partially covering your oil pick up, which could restricted oil flow.

alright well im pulling tje pan off as soon as i get my other parts that is what i was thinking was the problem thanks alot

Its pretty normal reading. When I cruise on the highway the needle is about 1/2 way between the low, and high pressure marks.

The oil pressure changes due to RPM, it prevents the bearings from being washed out, ect...

If your worried about the oil pressure then invest in an electric oil pressure guage, and this will give you a good # on the oil pressure.

um mine is barley up from the lowest at 3000 rpm its not even between the two higher marks so there is a problem somewhere

Well you can easily use an aftermarket oil pressure guage.

Readings should be:

11-14 psi at idle

It usually goes up 10psi for every 1k RPM. But this is just a rough figure.

Your oil pressure readings seem low, but I wouldn't hold what the stock guage says as if its written in stone. When was the last time the oil pump gears were replaced?

thanks defiant that helped me alot i though i was s.o.l with my motor for running it that low of pressure but i guess thats just a dsm gauge.
