My oil pressure gauge doesn't work. I noticed a wire wrapped up with the pigtail that looks like it goes on the oil pressure sender. I bought a new sender but where does it go? I see the oil filter and something that has a single wire on it, but thats it. Can i just remove one of the plugs and install it there? I see a big H near the 1 plug. Is that H for "high pressure"?

It is a 98gst with a 6bolt.

So I need the top one for my gauge?

Correct the top one works the gauge. Take a pic of your oil filter housing or at least find one online that looks like the one you have. Then we can better tell you where to go about installing it.

Ill go get a pic now

I can just get a oil press gauge kit less than a new sender. Ill do that. But which one of those plugs can i remove and install the aftermarket sending unit?

I've never seen a 2g ofh quite like that. On all of the 2g housings I've seen there is a spot in the rear for the factory sending unit. See the pic below.

You can always remove the dummy light switch (useless anyways) or get a brass "T" to run both from the same port.

It is a 6bolt motor.

Sorry, what exactly is the dummy light switch and why do you think someone has that but not a pressure sensor?

Sorry even 6 bolt water cooled housings usually have a spot right there. Ill make you a pic on where to put what.

Mine doesnt have a port on the back....

Yes that's why it seems so strange to me. I'm sure some other more knowledgeable people know exactly what OFH you have but it isn't one I've run across. Regardless use the bottom port on the front of the housing.

To the best of my knowledge, it's a GVR4 housing. They didn't have oil pressure gauges so they had no need for the extra port.

Use the one on the bottom, it's basically the same as using the bottom one on the front.
This. Only problem/inconvenience with either position is that a reducer will be required to transition from the 3/8" BSPT port on the housing to the 1/8" BSPT threads of the sensor.
