Oil pressure after rebuild with balance shaft elimination?

OK heres my situation. I have a 98 GSX with a freshly rebuilt 7 bolt (balance shafts eliminated). Prior to the rebuild, on my all 106k mile motor (with balance shafts) with an Autometer 0-100 psi electrical pressure gauge, I used to read around 20 psi at idle once at operating temp. Now on my new motor and new VDO 0-100 psi electrical oil pressure gauge Im getting a reading of 80psi at idle at operating temp. Seems like a pretty drastic increase..... Does this sound right/norma/safe/dangerous etc???? Thanks!!

What kind of parts were used for the rebuild? Did you do any of the oil pressure relief mods? The removal of the balance shafts typically raise oil pressure.

Its an all stock rebuild by showdown motorsports. He didnt specify if he did the oil relief modification. I knew the balance shaft elimination would increase oil pressure without the mod but it just seemed like a heck of an increase and wasnt sure if its something to worry about really. Also, using 10W30 (NON Synthetic) if that helps.

The non synthetic will give you a bit higher oil pressure too. I would keep using it until you put like 1k miles on it. I would read up on the oil relief mods and do it on your oil filter housing. Sorry, I'm too lazy to get a link right now, but you can search.
