Alright, so long story short, my timing belt is flinging oil up onto my hood. My engine has 6150 miles on the the rebuild, New Cam seals, new valve cover gasket new oil pump and gasket. I'm a little confused as to where the oil is coming from. After taking off the lower timing belt cover the entire side of the block is coated with oil behind the timing belt. Not sure where it could be coming from, and was looking for some input before i take off my timing belt and inspect further. It's a gates racing timing belt, which i will have to replace now because it got pretty wet with oil, and i know it will become weakened by it. Any input would be great.

I was having this same thing happen on my fresh rebuild and it was driving me crazy. I couldnt track down where the source was for a month or so.. Turned out my it was my valve cover gasket right over the intake cam. It was leaking down under the timing cover and being flung everywhere and covering everything under the cover.. New vc gasket and it was all good. Thats where I would start anyways. Maybe pull the belt, degrease the timing side and reassemble and start it up and let it run for a bit. Maybe you'd be able to see where its leaking from.

Also if the engine has a BSE with stubby shaft, if the timing belt is too tight, you can side load the oil pump seal and cause a leak.

Also I have seen the front case bolts leak if they do not get a touch of sealant

Clean off all the oil until its all spotless. Next, do NOT put the lower timing cover back on, throw the harmonic balancer and water pump pulleys back on along with the belts. Fire up the car and let it warm up to operating temp, and get a flashlight and watch for where the oil is coming from. Could be front main seal, oil pump shaft seal, the "castle" plug next to the oil pump sprocket or cam seals to start, though if youve got the balance shafts eliminated, it could be leaking from the plug used to plug up the hole for the front shaft in the front cover.

Yea i did do a balance shaft delete. That was my first thought for the leak, was possibly the circular plug. I put RTV on it before i put the plug in. I'm guessing it could be my valve cover gasket, i had to pull the valve cover off about 2k into the rebuild to change out a bad spark plug seal, maybe reusing it made it leak. I guess ill just have to do what you guys said and clean down that whole side of the block and oil pump. Then run it with the lower cover off to find the culprit.

It's leaking to the point where after driving the car hard for a few hours, the oil will drip down the hood by the headlight onto my front bumper, very frustrating because the car runs beautifully.
