1G Oil light not illuminating

Shouldn't the oil light be illuminated in this pic? This was taken right after turning the key to the on/run position but before cranking:

Thanks, I thought I was going insane there for a bit...well I probably am but not over this light. :D

My power steering belt decided to pop and it took my alt/water pump belt too. That probably took out the sensor wire. Hopefully an easy fix.

354k on your ODO?!? I thought I was doing good at 270k!
