I need help I have a 98 eclipse gs auto and my reverse lights don't come on I replaced the bulbs and checked the fuses and still nothing comes on what could be wrong???

But what mechanism are you talking about case on the auto transmission there is only 3 sensors the two speed sensors and the range switch^ This. I had the same issue in my manual transmission where the lights would only come on if I was in "reverse" gear in just the right spot. Mine just needed an adjustment.
I know you drive auto but it should be roughly the same mechanism

I am not sure about under the shifter but I will check and the neutral safety switch is in the transmissionIs the reverse light switch not under the shifter, attached along with the neutral safety switch?
