Guys, I need help.
Yesterday I unscrewed the oil pan and saw this:

MAX mark on the dipstick is above the baffle plate.
what's wrong? dipstick or guide?
Where the marks should be?

I'm using JDM engine block with the JDM guide and the new odered JDM dipstick with plastic handle.

When the engine is running the oil fill level will drop having the oil ports. Pump filter and cylinder head receiving oil. Nothing is wrong it's fine most people run up to a extra quart of oil for this reason oil is pumped to the head at higher rpm and can not return to the pan fast enough good catch but slightly paranoid
 
Yeah, but what you say about turbo oil drain hole? Draining overflowed half in this case, isn't it?
 
Does not matter. If the engines pump filter ports feed lines and head. Use say 1 quart of oil under normal op then that's 1qt of empty space to drain to. As it pumped it's replaced thru drain. High review engines pump oil faster than it can drain back too the pan. Over filling the head and leaving nothing in the pan.
 
I was worried about this so I threw a crank scraper on when I built the bottom end just to aid oil in going back to the pan in any way I can. Also the Kiggly HLA regulator would be great for this too. I just did the scraper first because the entire bottom end has to come apart for it. It's also only around $95 shipped too so it's a good deal. Crank-scrapers.com is where I got mine, Cosworth makes one but it's only a one piece.
