Well I have a oil leak by my transmission. I look at the slave cyc and it has oil dripping from it. But I know there are no leaks coming from the clutch line its not brake fluid. There where drips on the center of the xfer case. And then I went to look up and there is oil on/in possibly the tranny. It was under the rubber boot on the transmission that engages the slave cyc. Does this sound like a a rear main? Or are there seals in the tranny bad.

Is it oil or Trans fluid? Do you notice the oil level drop after a few days.

More than likely its oil, Dsm are known to mark there territory. There are a NUMBER of places that could cause a leak in to show up in that area.

Just to check, Peal back the rubber boot on the slave cylinder for clutch and see if its has any fluid in it. If so you need to replace it or rebuild it.

Pretty sure its oil. And the slave cyc is new and theres no fluid in the boot. But the square boot on the tranny by it has oil around it and a line faint oil line going down from it. And when you stick your finger in there it comes out black and oily.
