Where is this oil leak coming from? (pic)

from searching for the last hour, my guess is the valve cover gasket. But I'm meeting with my mechanic in a couple of hours so just thought I'd make sure. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You are excatly right... the leak is from the valve cover. Just take it off and throw down a new gasket w/ some silcone and you should be ready to go

about how much would a decent mechanic charge to do this? I have 0 tools where I'm at right now, I mean maybe a screwdriver and a flashlight.

the design of the valve cover causes it to actually cut the corners of the gasket off if over-torqued or becomes brittle.

overtorqued as if I kinda shifted into 2nd instead of 4th going 90???

no as in the bolts were tightened too far

a screwdriver and a socket w/ a 10 i believe.(Could be 8) are all the tools you need. You will need a gasket set which if i recall comes in around $20 or so. So if you take it anywhere and they charge anymore than $50 I would tell them to **** themselves
