Well I put a new oil sending unit it yesterday because their was oil around it but their is still the oil leak and it not.I put allot of silicone on one of the bolts that bolt the bed plate to the top half of the block because the place that built my bottom end said it might be coming from their. The bolt did have oil all over it when I took it out but its still after I put silicone on it.Their is nothing else over in that area where the oil could be coming from so Im lost.It coming from around the mid block and where the tranny and block meet. The flywheel and the inside of the bell housing doesnt have any oil on it and the oil leak is in the same spot all the time.Could it still be the rear main seal??Or could the block have a crack in it.

Theirs no pics.Even if I had some you wouldnt be able to see the oil.If their is a crack between the bedplate and upper part of the block is their any way to fix it?I want to fix it because its driving me nuts.

The bedplate was supposed to be sealed with special bedplate sealant. The average engine RTV will not work. The sealant has special characteristics that promote curing in the absense of oxygen like in bedplate applications.

The head gasket was going to be my first suggestion since you mentioned the oil pressure sending unit (indicating the back of the block). However, I'm guessing that since you had the block built/rebuilt that a multi-layer steel head gasket was used.

The rear mains will back out on the neon and 2gnt's. However, the leak will normally deposit on the bottom side of the transmission and not higher up in areas like the bedplate line or higher. It's possible, but not likely.

I would recomend checking the cam sensor seal and the head gasket areas just to double check the obvious. There is a fluid leak spray that can be used on things like oil, trans fluid, and water leaks. You clean up the suspect area with brake cleaner, let it dry, then spray on this stuff. It deposits as a white powder like substance and will help show where a fluid leak is coming from.

Its not coming from up by the head or the cam sensor. We put oil dye in it and use the uv glasses and a black light and the oil was only around where I described above. The place that built the block said the used mopar sealant that got from a dealership. If would jb weld work if I cleaned it up and put it on where the oil is.Im lost at what to do now.

anyone???????? Someone told me bedplates dont crack so that cant be it.Is this true that the block and the bed plate can crack where the seal together??

I'm digging for a picture to better explain this. The 4g63 uses main bearing caps. The 420A uses basically a complete cut out of the bottom end of the block as an assembly to house the main bearings and crank.
