I just recently replaced all my crush washers for the turbo.. and it leaks oil from the oil feed line... How can it leak with brand new crush washers? Is there a way to fix this?? Any help is much appreciated... thanks a lot..

I would clean the surface of the head and buy a new banjo bolt

+1. These banjo bolts sometimes split at the opening, and if you dont look closely you'll never notice it. That being said, if it was cracked it will never yield the proper torque and it will leak. I would also check that the feed line banjo fitting isn't cocked and sits flush with the head when you push it against with your fingers. If it doesn't, you'll need to bend it by hand to get it to sit right. Also make sure you torque the banjo bolt to the proper spec with new copper crush washers. I've never had a leak on any car i've done following this procedure. Good luck.

And for the love of sam, don't overtorque the banjo bolt to try to seal it up. You will strip the damn thing. I see helicoiled heads all the time at that location..

That is, until I said screw it and drilled/tapped for a 4AN adapter and ran a SS feed line with 0.07" (iirc) restrictor.

Thanks for the heads up, this banjo bolt is pretty new... the last one that was in it was torqued so hard it twisted the banjo bolt so badly i'm surprised it didn't strip out.. And i'm going to get another set of crush washers and go for the bending it as close to the head as possible and see if that will help... If no luck i will let you guys know!! Thanks for the help everyone.

So, i am still leaking oil, now it seems like its leaking from on top of the turbo... I used new crush washers again and even bent the hard line so it matched up flush so the banjo bolts threaded in easily... I just don't know what to do!! :/

Its possible the threads are a little worn in the chra. Try putting some thread sealant (not loctite) on the threads after you put the crush washers on, then thread it into the turbo

The crush washers are supposed to do the job of sealing any leaks from either the threads or the banjo bolt itself.

If the crush washers aren't working, that means they cannot seal properly and will still leak regardless of sealing the threads.

Best bet is to check the surfaces of the hard line and the turbo itself, make sure both surfaces are fairly smooth. The crush washers compensate and seal minor imperfections, but won't perform miracles.

Well, i am going to hold off on the thread sealant.. I'm going to take it apart and put a different hard line on and see if that helps.
