Oil filter housing. Does it have to be part metal?

Just wondering if the Line that goes from the thermostat housing to the
oil Filter housing has to be metal? My Metal one is all bent out of shape.
Wondering If I can just use like a high temp hose.

You can use rubber, but there is a lot of heat back there from the turbo. If the pipe isn't leaking than bent it back into shape and install it.

Or grab one from a wrecker that isn't bent. Like said, the steel will deal with the heat better.

could always use any strait tube for just behind the turbo and exh manifold and just use pieces of hose to connect it to the oil cooler and therm housing.. may be easier than trying to bend the old one back... and cheaper than buying one

I got a feed line from ebay for around 40 shipped. Its braided steel. Looks good in the bag, will find out how it holds up soon enough though.
