ok, ive read alot of threads and i read about people putting their oil feed line somwere else besides the side of the head, but were?? could some one help me out on this, i already blew one turbo, i dont want to put antoher one on there and blow it cause i dont have enough oil? if some one could pu some pics on here that would be great :)

If you blew a turbo from not having enough oil pressure you have a problem somewhere else. Getting the oil from the head seems to be the best spot. After all that's how the factory designed it, so it should be a reliable source. I'm not trying to give you any bs. I just want you to make sure you're seeing the whole picture.

+1. You should try figuring out exactly why your turbo is blown. Also try putting all of your info in your profile. How do you know your turbo is blown from oil starvation?

im new at all of this so i dont know any other way a turbo could blow?? so i just assumed.. it has a little side to side play and a little in and out play, and i would spool up past 7psi,(normally it goes to about 15) so idk, could it just all of a suddun go bad?

You need to add your car to your profile. We don't know what you have, so we can't even begin to help you figure this out. You need to help us help you by entering your car and the mods, if any, and you need to be more specific with how you describe what's wrong with your car. You first said you had a blown turbo and now you say there's some shaft play, but you haven't told us how the car runs or if it does. Does it blow smoke? If it does, what color is the smoke? Does it buck or studder? Or does it do something else?

ok, yea i put info on my profile about my car, but ive not got any pics up yea. .

HOW THIS ALL HAPPENED:-- i was driving it and it started to blow out white smoke out the exhaust and ran like crap... i popped the hood, oil was every were i thought i blew it up but idk. i was so mad, my stock boost gauge goes up to a little over 14psi when i get on it, and the aftermarket one jumps around until it hits 24psi.... i dont think its right, idk, it would start after that (but not if it set for to long) now the boost wont go over 7psi.

so yea it still ran (until i took off the turbo) but it wouldnt start unless you spray some starting fluid up the intake, and it would only smoke out the exhaust for about a min when you first start it, unless you drive it, if you drive it smokes from under the hood (white) and out the exhaust (white) and when you pop the hood there is oil shoting out the intake pipes and the BOV and the center of my valve cover is usually full with it. and its usually really slow cause its stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear cause i think my tcu is out. but know it is REALLY slow like it takes a little over 1/4 mile to get to 60, and my boost wont go over 7, my mechanic freind siad that it could be my turbo, he said thats why im burning oil, and its coming out the intake... and my oil pressure is way low (idk if thats why cause its been like that since i bought it):confused::confused::confused:

Now were talking, but it doesn't sound good. Yes, it does sound like your turbo is gone, but it sounds like you have many other issues going on too.:( You need to check that thing over real good (or have a mechanic do it) and see if it's even worth fixing to you. Main thing to do at this point is a compression test and/or a leakdown test to see what condition the motor is in.

Umm.. really sounds bad. But, it still could really be the turbo. That would explain the smoke out of the back. Now under the hood?? Valve cover is from your bad oil cap seal. We've all had that. Some still do.. Like me LOL But you said it was shooting out of your intake pipes. Do you mean that literally? If so then they were shooting out of all of your boost leaks.

yes i mean that literally it covers my chrome intake pipe from the intercooler to the intake in oil (out of the seals from my coupler), and yea in my valve cover is from my valve cover, i just went and took it off. the seal is FRIED and it is cracked from the previous owner from tighteing it down to much so it could leak from the crack and the cap, and the seal :( but it ran great until it did that (what i explained earlier)
