So i just did a head gasket on my car,(every thing the right way) and i have been driving for a couple weeks now. I did an oil change on the car when i finished the job and used 5w-40 rotella, gone about 300 miles and i got off the freeway to day and my oil dummy light came on at idle. So i looked at oil pressure and it was around the first line, not the low line the next one, so i thought my oil was low but i checked it and it is fine. I idle at 850 but if i raise the idle too 1000 rpm while I'm stopped it turns off. Not sure what to do . Please help me if you can. thanks.

Survey the area of your oil filter housing for a wire that goes to the oil dummy light pressure sensor. There is one for the pressure sender, which is closer to the crank, and the one for the dummy light which is closer to your radiator. It's typical for the wiring to fall off this.

Its on there and the sender is brand new. I did have to soder the wire back together and i put a new clip on the end that fits the clip better.I also noticed that It only happens after i drive the car on the freeway for more than 15 minutes. the car never gets hot and my oil pressure is still great and i hear no valve clatter. I am so confused. But I love these things... :hellyeah:
