Hi, at what pressure does the oil dummy light engage?
I`m planning on moving the sender to the head output where my turbo oil output is, but need to know if the pressure up there will be enough for the dummy light.

Thanks

Oh, well i was only planning on moving the dummy light, not the oil pressure sender, that will still be on the ofh.

I have an external oil cooler and a oil filter relocation kit, so there is a lot of things that can happen on the way before oil enters the engine. And a oil lamp going off would be easier to notice than a gauge.

Thanks

I'm still looking for the spec on the Oil Switch but the 2G factory spec for oil pressure at idle (oil temp 167-194F) is 11.4 psi or more so the switch is not going to be higher than that. The 1G DSM Technical manual says that originally the switch activates at 4.3 psi or less. I can't find a later reference.
